Lyökki cabin among pine trees by the shore.

Staying at Lyökki

Built in 1981, Lyökki is a main cabin and a sauna cabin on its own stretch of shore.

The main cabin

The main cabin has three bedrooms, an indoor wc and generous shared rooms for cooking and spending time together. Windows facing every direction bring the surrounding archipelago and the sea view indoors.

The well-equipped kitchen has everything needed for cooking: a fridge-freezer, hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. From spring to autumn you can also cook on the gas grill on the terrace.

The bedrooms sleep six: one double bed and four single beds. The main cabin has an air source heat pump for both cooling and heating, and a heat-retaining fireplace.

The sauna cabin

The separate sauna cabin has a shower, an electric sauna always ready to heat, and a sauna room for changing and relaxing.

Between rounds in the sauna you can step straight out onto the terrace and the jetty, where a ladder leads down into the sea.

Lyökki has its own sheltered shoreline. At the end of the jetty the water is about 1.5 metres deep. The shore is rocky and stony.

A rowing boat, a kayak and a canoe are also at our guests’ disposal.

Location

Lyökki lies in the Uusikaupunki archipelago on the west coast of Finland. The drive takes about half an hour from Uusikaupunki, under an hour from Rauma and an hour and a half from Turku. The yard is reachable by car all year round and has parking for several cars.

Pyhämaa is classic archipelago country: sea, forests, rocky shores and narrow island roads define the landscape. In the nearby woods you can pick blueberries, lingonberries, raspberries and sea buckthorn, as well as chanterelles and funnel chanterelles.

A short drive away are Pyhämaa’s two village shops, local farm stores and the Pamprinniemi nature trail. Uusikaupunki and Old Rauma both make easy day trips.

Bicycles are also available for exploring nearby.
